Tinubu arrives in the UK for vacation debunking claims that he tested positive for coronavirus

ALL Progressives Congress (APC) national leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has declared himself fit healthy after he arrived in the UK and debunked rumours that he had been afflicted by the Covid-19 virus saying he only came to London for a rest.

Over the weekend, it was reported that Asiwaju Tinubu has contracted coronavirus and had been flown to France from treatment.  However, his spokesman, Tunde Rahman, debunked these as mere rumours yesterday, stating that his principal is hale and hearty and was just in the UK resting after months of vigorous activities in Nigeria, including trips to Kano and Maiduguri.

Seyi Tinubu, the APC leader’s son also dismissed reports that his father tested positive for Covid-19. He quoted Mr Rahman as saying his father had undergone Covid-19 tests 15 times and tested negative on each occasion.

He said: “Asiwaju is not in Paris and he doesn’t have coronavirus. That’s a lie from the pit of hell because my father is very IK and neither does he have the virus.

“If you must know, he has done the Covid-19 test 15 times, each time he travels and mingles with many people, although he always wore a face mask. He is currently in London taking a vacation and there’s no iota of truth in the false information being shared.”
