Sadio Mane Makes Bold Move, Purchases French Football Club.
Sadio Mane, the Senegalese professional football star, has reportedly acquired the French fourth-division club Bourges Foot 18.
Reports indicate that Mane had been contributing funds to support the club's recruitment efforts, and now he has fully taken ownership, receiving approval from the city's mayor, Yann Galut.
The 31-year-old, who is currently playing for the Saudi Arabia Pro Club, Al Nassr, finalized the deal recently. Mane confirmed the purchase in a video clip shared online on Wednesday, expressing his commitment to nurturing and organizing the club. He acknowledged the challenges ahead but expressed confidence in achieving goals with the involvement of the people of Bourges.
According to Mirror, Bourges Foot 18 is located 250 kilometers from Paris in central France and has never played higher than the French second tier (as Bourges 18). The club is currently positioned second bottom in Group B of the Championnat National, a league comprising a mix of amateur teams and professional clubs, including reserves from teams like Toulouse and Angers. The club itself was formed just two years ago through a merger of two regional clubs.
