Adebayo is optimistic about making a comeback following the loss to Luton
Luton Town striker Elijah Adebayo acknowledges that he carries a sense of responsibility following their defeat to Tottenham at home on Saturday.
Adebayo admits that he should have done better with a clear-cut opportunity early in the second half.
He remarked, "After the initial 10 minutes, we started to adapt to the game plan we had set out. Tottenham is a strong team, and we understand that we need to be nearly flawless because they have some outstanding players. However, after the red card, which occurred quite late in the first half, we had a different game plan for the second half."
"I believe that if I had scored, it would have changed the game completely, and those small details matter in this league. In my opinion, if I had used my left foot, I would have scored.
"I ended up using the wrong foot, and it slipped underneath me. However, strikers do miss opportunities, and they must strive to recover from them. That's exactly what I need to do – bounce back and not let it weigh too heavily on my mind."
"Clearly, I feel I disappointed my teammates today, but I'll put in the effort during the upcoming week to make amends."
