Salvation Ministries founder Pastor Ibiyeomie threatens to kill Daddy Freeze for challenging Oyedepo

SALVATION Ministries in Port Harcourt founder Pastor David Ibiyeomie has threatened to kill Popular Cool FM radio show host and presenter Ifedayo Olarinde popularly known as Daddy Freeze for insulting Winners Chapel’s Bishop Oyedepo.

Over recent years, Daddy Freeze has been campaigning against the exploitative tendencies of Nigeria’s wealthy pastorprueners who fleece off their members, demanding 10% of their earnings. His campaign against these tithes has put him on a collision course with these wealthy clergymen who are not only well connected politically but also have very deep pockets.

In a recent Instagram post, Daddy Freeze tackled Bishop Oyedepo for asking women to submit to their husbands as a means of sustaining their marriages. Writing on his ministry’s Instagram page on Thursday, September 3, Bishop Oyedepo said that total submission from the wife to the husband is the only condition for a fruitful marriage.

Highly controversial, Bishop Oyedepo, valued by Forbes at $150m is the wealthiest of all Nigeria’s pastorprueners and owns four private jets. Responding to the cleric’s controversial comments, Daddy Freeze  noted that submission goes both ways and not for the woman alone.

Quoting Ephesians Chapter Five verse 21-25 from the bible, Daddy Freeze said: “The bible says submit to the likeness of Christ in your home. This puts a man in his home in the place of Christ. So, for a wife to submit, it’s like the wife is submitting to Christ. You want your wife to be the church that submits to the wife, are you the Christ? Have you lay down your life for your wife?”

In a swift response, Bishop Ibiyeomie, said: “Insult me, I won’t comment but insult Oyedepo. That bastard, any day I hear you talk about him. Does Daddy Freeze have a father? Who’s his father?”

“That half-caste who is born by a Somalian? The day I hear him insult Oyedepo, I’ll deal with him. Oyedepo may not talk but I can’t be alive and you’d insult my father. I can’t take it.

“People who have fathers don’t insult fathers. He’s insulting because he has no father. Does he, Freeze look like a Nigerian? Somebody they gave birth to on the ship.

“I curse the day he was born, tell him. This should be the last time he’d talk about Oyedepo. A man who is not married, he has no wife. He can’t take care of his home but he’s coming to talk on TV.

“If he has one, let him show us his father’s future. Somebody that is a broadcaster, does he have a good job? I will never be alive to see someone insult my father. You’re not born! I’ll kill, arrest him.”
