Ex-Gubernatorial Candidate Becomes Adviser to Delta State's Governor Oborevwori

Goodnews Agbi, a former gubernatorial candidate from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has been appointed as one of the special advisers to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State. Agbi, who ran for the NNPP in the 2023 gubernatorial election, took the oath of office along with eight other special advisers appointed by the Governor.


During their swearing-in ceremony, Governor Oborevwori urged them to collaborate with his administration to advance infrastructure, foster inclusive economic growth, and promote sustainable development in the state. He emphasized that these appointments are part of his commitment to assembling a competent team of experts to implement his administration's policies and programs.


The newly sworn-in special advisers include Hon. Charles Oniyere, Mr. Michael Ogboru, Chief Ebikeme Clark, Chief Sylvester Oromoni, Hon. Shadrach Rapu, Dr. Donald Peterson, Hon. Peter Uviejitobor, and Chief Nathaniel Igbani.


In a related development, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu inaugurated his cabinet members for his second term in office. The 37 cabinet members took their oath at a ceremony held at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium in Alausa, Ikeja, following their screening and confirmation by the Lagos State House of Assembly. Governor Sanwo-Olu urged them to work collaboratively to build on the successes of his first four years in office and exceed the expectations of Lagos residents. The event was attended by dignitaries, including Minister of Solid Mineral Development, Dele Alake.
