Governor Duoye Diri, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Bayelsa State Governorship Election, has secured his re-election victory. The final local government results, including Southern Ijaw, were announced, confirming Diri's success.

Diri emerged victorious by winning in six local government areas, securing his re-election. In contrast, his closest competitor, Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress (APC), secured victories in two local government areas.
