Pastor murders his wife and then proceeds to commit suicide during a live church service

POLICE in the Kenyan city of Mombasa are investigating a bizarre murder that took place at the Ground for God’s Gospel Church when the pastor murdered his wife and then proceeded to commit suicide during a live service.

During the service, Elijah Misiko, a pastor with the Ground for God’s Gospel Church in Mombasa Kenya, left his front-row seat and approached his wife Ann, and murdered her. He apparently stabbed her with one of the knives he had hidden in an envelope and then, believing she was dead, then stabbed himself three times in the stomach and slit his throat.

Pastor Misiko died instantly from his stab wounds while his wife died at a local hospital a few hours later. Apparently, the couple are said to have been engaged in a long-running feud over the ownership and leadership of the church.

In 2017, Pastor Misiko was detained by the police in Mombasa after his wife alleged he planned to kill her. This time around, Pastor Misiko left a 17-page suicide note in which he accused his wife of changing ownership of the church, which he said the couple founded, to her name alone.
