The police are set to take legal action against the school owner in Delta regarding a 4-year-old gir

The Delta State Police Command has announced its intention to initiate legal
proceedings against the owner of a nursery and primary school for the alleged sexual assault of a four-year-old girl.

In a tweet on Thursday, DSP Bright Edafe, the Delta Police spokesperson, provided the public with reassurance that the appropriate authorities would ensure justice in the matter. He gave this assurance in response to a report by a user named @EverythingMai on Twitter.

Edafe conveyed, "The incident reportedly occurred two weeks ago, and despite the school owner's denial, it is now under the jurisdiction of the Area Commander in Agbor rather than the Division." He went on to say, "I will provide further details once I have the complete update, but I want to assure everyone that justice will be upheld."

"Nevertheless, we should refrain from opting for settlements because nowadays, parents, particularly those from rural areas, have been known to approach the police and accept money from suspects, thereby complicating the prosecution process."

The X user had previously reported that the proprietor of Great Leaders International School in Delta State allegedly sexually assaulted a four-year-old girl and used scissors to harm her. The child subsequently returned home from school, complaining to her mother of discomfort. Upon examination, the mother observed blood clots emanating from her daughter's vaginal area. The user further disclosed that the man's attorney is currently advising the mother to resolve the matter privately.
