A total of seven individuals have been apprehended in Kano State for their alleged involvement in the destruction of cables at various locations within the state. This development was verified by DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, the spokesperson for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the state, during an interaction with journalists on Thursday, September 7 2023.

Abdullahi clarified that the arrests resulted from intelligence surveillance conducted by the Command's team in collaboration with local vigilante officials. He further noted that the investigations into these incidents have been concluded, and the suspects will face charges in court, including conspiracy, vandalism, and receiving stolen property.
