19 dead as crane collapses in Thailand
At least 19 people were killed and around 80 were injured when a construction crane fell into three of the train's cars in northeastern Thailand on Wednesday.
According to Reuters, the train derailed and briefly caught fire after the crane struck a carriage, injuring dozens more people, according to local police.
Police Colonel Thatchapon Chinnawong stated, "Nineteen bodies have been recovered, but some are still inside the train carriages that cannot be removed yet because the crane started shifting, so the team pulled back for fear of danger."
