United Airlines brings Spotify playlists, audiobooks, onboard flights
Travelers on United Airlines can now access specially curated Spotify playlists, audiobooks, and video podcasts via their seatback screens starting this week.
The airline announced this in a press release, highlighting that this initiative is designed to improve the onboard experience by offering a broader variety of entertainment choices.
“Spotify has a vast user base, and their content is widely loved. Now, our passengers can easily enjoy it while flying at 35,000 feet,” said Richard Nunn, CEO of MileagePlus, in the press release.
“We are providing millions of travelers with a completely new method to discover and enjoy premium content from some of the world’s most renowned artists, authors, and podcasters—all while utilizing the latest technology during flight.”
United Airlines emphasized that starting next year, passengers will have the ability to log into the Spotify app on the in-flight entertainment screens using their own devices.
Spotify mentioned that United Airlines is the perfect collaborator to bring its content to travelers.
