NITDA opens applications for GITEX Nigeria 2025
The National Information Technology Development Agency has initiated a call for applications for the GITEX Nigeria 2025 Regional Roadshow, a nationwide effort aimed at discovering and promoting the upcoming generation of tech innovators within Nigeria.
The roadshow is set to take place in all six geopolitical zones, with events planned for Lagos State, Enugu State, Akwa Ibom State, Abuja FCT, Gombe State, and Kano State from June to August 2025.
“From June to August 2025, we will travel throughout Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones to find, engage, and highlight the most promising startups from every region of the country.
“This is an opportunity for you to nominate your startup, present your solution, and secure a place at GITEX Nigeria 2025 in Abuja—the largest innovation showcase in Nigeria happening from September 1-4, 2025,” NITDA stated.
NITDA announced that the initiative is open to early-stage and growth-stage startups that are either registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission or in the process of registering.
NITDA noted that the program seeks to support early-stage and growth-stage startups that are either registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission or currently pursuing registration. Eligible sectors include HealthTech, AgriTech, FinTech, AI, EdTech, ClimateTech, and CreativeTech.
The agency highlighted that the aim is to discover bold local innovators creating scalable tech solutions to address real-world issues. Startups chosen from each geopolitical zone will receive sponsorship to showcase at the GITEX Nigeria 2025 Startup Festival in Abuja.
Chosen startups will also have the chance to present their ideas in front of a jury comprised of ecosystem leaders, investors, and policymakers.
This platform provides founders the opportunity to display their solutions to key stakeholders and potential partners within the tech ecosystem.
The application process is entirely digital. Interested startups are required to fill out a self-nomination form on the portal. Candidates who are shortlisted will then be invited to present live during the zonal roadshows.
Submit your application via the digital self-nomination form. If selected, you will progress to the GITEX Nigeria exhibitor pipeline.
GITEX Nigeria is inspired by the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX), one of the world’s largest and most significant tech trade exhibitions held annually in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, since 1981.
