Gunmen kill three in Plateau attack

Armed assailants have struck in the Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. 

Joseph Yonkpa, a youth leader in the Irigwe community, shared the confirmation of the incident with NIGERIANWATCH Online in Jos on Wednesday, stating that the victims were targeted near GSS Kwall, across from the Military Drone Base, while returning home from Kwall District.

Yonkpa, who serves as the National Publicity Secretary of the Irigwe Youth Movement, noted that the victims were named Sunday Ishaya, 37 years old; Joshua Mishi, 51 years old; and Range Kpeh, 32 years old.

He expressed, “Indeed, it is true. On June 3rd, 2025, three people from Kwall District, Bassa LGA, lost their lives in a disturbing incident while making their way home.

“The victims sustained injuries from gunfire and machetes near GSS Kwall, across from the Military Drone Base, Kwall.

“The deceased individuals are recognized as: Sunday Ishaya, age 37; Joshua Mishi, age 51; and Range Kpeh, age 32.

“May they rest in peace.”

The spokesperson for the Plateau State Police Command, Alabo Alfred, could not be contacted, as his phone was indicated to be off at the time of this report.
