Apple to launch iPhone 18 launch in two phases 2026

According to The Information, Apple plans to deliver its iPhone 18 series in two waves beginning in 2026.

The luxury iPhone 18 Pro versions are expected to be released in the autumn of 2026, while the more cheap basic iPhone 18 and a new version of the iPhone 16e will not be available until the spring of 2027. According to the source, a foldable iPhone might launch alongside the Pro versions in the autumn of 2026.

Meanwhile, Apple is anticipated to release a thinner smartphone named the "iPhone 17 Air" later this year, with a follow-up version planned in 2026.

In an effort to reduce its reliance on Chinese production, Apple is reportedly exploring creating lower-cost iPhone 18 models in India. The move comes as the company deals with continued U.S. tariffs on Chinese-made items, which are affecting its profit margins.
