Prime Minister of the United Kingdom(UK), Theresa May, has arrived in Nigeria on a two-day state visit.
May proceeded to the Presidential Villa, Abuja for a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari to discuss the promotion of British trade and interest.
She said that her visit is a “unique opportunity at a unique time for the UK,” stating that Africa’s “incredible potential will only be realised through a concerted partnership between governments, global institutions and business.”
In a tweet, the presidency said: “This afternoon President @MBuhari will welcome UK Prime Minister @theresa_may to the State House, Abuja. The two leaders will hold discussions, as well as sign vital defence and economic agreements involving Nigeria and the UK.”
