On Sunday, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) insisted that President Muhammadu Buhari did not lie about his health situation.
According to Tinubu, the President declared to Nigerians that he needed to take care of himself, at the same time encouraging the people to keep on praying for Buhari’s full recovery.
While present in a Condolence visit to Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, over the death of Dan Masani Kano in Alhaji Maitama Sule, the former governor of Lagos revealed the above statement.
“There is nothing anybody can do in the face of health challenge,” he said.
Additionally, he mentioned, “The President did not lie to us. He told us he was ill; and he needs to take care of himself. I do not see any crisis about this situation. We are a nation that is very humane, honest, compassionate, and resilient. We take care of our own neighbors. I am not a member of presidential cabinet, but I am a member of his party and I am a Nigerian. All we can do is to pray for him.”
Buhari is yet to return to Nigeria since leaving for medical check-up on May 9, 2017.
