In August of last year, Wilfried Bony, a 28-year-old Ivorian joined the football team Stoke City from Manchester City. Since then, he has scored just twice in 11 games and has not played since 27 December.
In January, he chose to stay at Stoke despite his contract allowing him to be sold to Chinese Super League clubs.
According to Bony, when you hear everything is fine and you don’t play, it’s crazy. He also said that it is more than difficult, and that it was something he wants to know why. He was confused because the coach told him that he was training very well and his attitude is very good that’s why everything doesn’t make sense.
“It is really painful”, he told the BBC’s World Football program.
Bony, who joined City from Swansea £28m in January 2015, said he was not tempted by the money on offer in China.
He also added that his agent told him that there was an offer but he refused to go because his plan was to stay in the UK to show more, to show that he’s not at the end.
