SYNAGOGUE Church of All Nations (Scoan) general overseer Pastor Temitope Joshua has offered to pray electronically for all Covid-19 patients in isolation centres around the world in the belief that he can cure them of the virus.
Speaking on Scoan’s YouTube channel Emmanuel TV, Pastor Joshua urged governments and medical authorities to organise those who are in isolation and arrange how to connect them to Emmanuel TV. Nigeria currently has 29,789 cases of coronavirus, of which there have been 669 fatalities.
Across Nigeria, faith houses are closed and clergymen are not allowed to visit coronavirus patients recovering in isolation centres. Several Nigerian clerics have challenged the government to allow them go to hospitals and isolation centres to lay their hands on the affected in a bid to cure them.
Pastor Joshua said: “The blessing of Jesus is for those who knock and ask. In whatever way you support to make this happen, we are a team, we are not doing more than you and together we shall pray for them.
“Together we shall be set free from this Covid-19. In Luke 4:40, Jesus healed all who had various kinds of sickness after the mass prayer and the same anointing that heals one is also able to heal all at the same time.”
He called on all interested parties to contact the church via their email address firstname.lastname@example.org. Last week, a Cameroonian medical doctor claimed he was healed of Covid-19 after receiving interactive prayer from Pastor Joshua’s ministry, acknowledging that spiritual leadership is very important at a time like this.
His testimony was followed days later by a couple of university lecturers who said they had been healed of the dreaded virus, replete with medical reports before and after prayers from Emmanuel TV. Since starting its interactive prayers, in which online prayers are offered via video calls, Pastor Joshua’s ministry has prayed for Covid-19 patients from around the world including citizens of the US, South Africa, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Honduras and Cuba.
