Nigerian man stabbed to death in UK

On Friday, the police of United Kingdom confirmed the death of Seun Isaiah McMillan, a Nigerian who was fatally stabbed in the chest in a playing field at Masefield Crescent.

Seun Isaiah McMillan was stabbed on Tuesday and died from his injuries an hour after he arrived at Barnet Hospital, around 8.20pm.

Witnesses said the young man was stabbed after an argument broke out “over money” between a group of young men gathered in the park.

Detective Chief Inspector Lee Watling of the Homicide and Major Crime Command said: “We now believe Seun was stabbed in Cowper Gardens in Southgate and at that time there would have been a number of people there that had attended in cars.

“We are keen to speak to everyone who was there and would appeal for them to contact us.

“We would also appeal to anyone who saw what cars were in Cowper Gardens at the time of the incident to also contact us.

“We continue to appeal for any witnesses to the attack, or anyone with any information about it, to contact us.”

Seun’s cousin, who did not wish to be named also told The Standard that his cousin was “a normal guy and he didn’t deserve what happened. He wasn’t supposed to be there”.

“The last time I saw him at the park we were playing football, he loved it and played centre back. I have no idea what happened to him,” he said.
