The Nigerian, Mo Adeniran born in the United Kingdom was crowned the winner of the 2017 edition of the competition Sunday night, 2nd of April.
A 21-year-old Nigerian has emerged the winner of The Voice UK after delivering great performance right from the beginning of the competition.
He came to The Voice with best friend Max Vickers, who made it through to the semis, after producers scouted him out for the show.
Burst into tears as fellow contestants who made it to the final round, Michelle John, Jamie Miller congratulated him.
Adeniran was raised in a foster home and lost another of his friend to drug overdose and is currently working at the hotel.
His road to glory began, when he got into Jennifer Hudson’s team, after battling Diamond in the sing-offs, with his rendition of A Change Is Gonna Come by Sam Cooke.
In the quarter-final, Jennifer chose Mo to get through, while the public voted for him at the semi-final stage to qualify for the final.
On Saturday night, Adeniran came up against Into the Ark, Jamie and Michelle for the last three places in Sunday’s grand finale.
Mo, Jamie and Into The Ark made it into the last three, where the public again voted for Mo to win the competition.
Mo Adeniran after the results were announced said: “Thank you everyone at home, just want to say thank you to Jennifer and all the coaches. An amazing thank you to the most phenomenal person I have ever met, thank you Jennifer.”
