The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Sadiq Baba Abubakar, on Thursday, said on a statement that the Air Force would stay loyal to Nigeria and the Service of the country.
Air Marshall Abubakar made the comment during the commissioning of two blocks of apartments at Bill Clinton drive, Nigerian Air Force Base in Abuja. The apartments would be utilized by both transit and married officers.
Mr. Abubakar restated that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) was committed to the welfare of its officers and the security of the country’s territorial boundaries.
He also advised his officers and men to be more committed to their duties and responsibilities.
The two blocks were named after two of its former officers, Fg Offr A J Layelmenson and Sqn. Ldr B B Ado, who died in an active service in Mali.
“The young officers protected our national interests, hence the need to immortalise them. We are remembering these fallen heroes by naming the blocks of flats after them,” Air Marshal Abubakar said.
