John Ogu, Midfielder of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, revealed that he is delighted to have captained Gernot Rohr’s men in Tuesday’s international friendly game against Liberia that had President George Weah feature for 79 minutes for the hosts in the encounter.
The game played at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex, was arranged in honour of the country’s president and 1995 FIFA World Player of the Year, George Weah.
On his official Twitter page, @Ogujohnugo, Ogu, who currently plays for Hapoel Beer Sheva in the Israeli topflight league, tweeted: “I will never forget this day in my life.
“Leading my country with such wonderful talent in a game against Liberia with President, and the only African player to win the Ballon d’Or”.
Ogu is expected to feature for Sheva when they take on FC Ashdod in an Israeli Premier League clash this weekend.
