The Nigerian Army on Thursday, affirmed it is yet to make any arrest following the report by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-General Tukur Buratai, of endeavors by some politicians to invade the military.
Lt-Gen Buratai alerted officers of the Nigerian Army to avoid politics and politicians.
He declared they received valuable information that some people had been talking to some soldiers for undisclosed political reasons.
However, replying to questions on whether any officer had been arrested and questioned, Army spokesperson, Brig. Gen. Sani Usman said “We have always been open and transparent with information and if there is anything, we will let the public know.”
Brig. Gen. Usman did not show any feeling with regards about the investigation, even though there is a warning given to officers and soldiers in the army by the COAS.
