CAMEROON – Four improvised explosive device in Cameroonian city of Bamenda – main city of the unruly North West region. No fatalities were registered except for slight damage.
A reference quoted by the AFP news agency said, “Four home-made bombs exploded in Bamenda, one at 21:00 and the three others at 3:00 am.”
The overnight assault comes after the multiple attacks that happened last week which killed four officers of the security forces according to the government.
The city of Bamenda is currently under curfew after the violent attacks last week.
Capital of the other part of Anglophone region, Buea, and the South West is also under curfew with control and use of guns is banned.
The attack on the security forces is a brutal turn to the demonstrations which have largely been restrained upon the orders of the security forces.
