Ahmed Ouyahia who is the Prime Minister of Algeria has received the former Egyptian foreign minister, Mohamed El-Orabi, Yesterday to discussed mutual cooperation on different levels, Asharq Al-Awsat reported.
According to Ouyahia, Orabi conveyed a message from the Egyptian president, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, to his Algerian counterpart, Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
The Minister didn’t disclosed details about the message’s content or the reason behind it.
On his part, the Egyptian ambassador to Algeria, Omar Abu Aish, told Asharq Al-Awsat that Ouyahia offered during the meeting his condolences for the Egyptian police forces’ martyrs who were targeted yesterday in a terrorist attack which took place in the north of Sinai Peninsula.
Abu Oish added that Orabi’s visit to Algeria comes within the framework of the Egyptian government’s efforts to support its candidate for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)’s Director-General post, Ambassador Moushira Khattab.
