On Tuesday, a three-year-old boy was reunited with his father following a hijacking in the West Rand.
The incident reportedly happened in Randfontein on Tuesday morning.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said: “On arrival, local authorities found a three-year-old boy still inside the vehicle.
“ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene assessed the boy, who was in the custody of [South African Police Service] SAPS. Fortunately, the child had escaped injury although visibly shaken.
Paramedics handed the child over to the father after the assessment.
The father alleged that they had been hijacked earlier in the Randfontein area.
